well, one of those "leaked" fixed my winme/kt7 problems. go figure.
pidge, i have a question for you. what better way to check the stability of the drivers than to "leak" them out and have users try them out at their own risk? no one company can test all possible setups, and by "leaking" the drivers they are getting free testing and useful feedback. even micro$oft knows that. that's why they release betas for testing. since most "big" companies buy standardized computers, which are pre-configured to have little compatibility problems, in-house testing can reveal some but not all problems. releasing the software to people that have randomly configured computers with generic parts tends to reveal additional problems.
i don't think that coolness has THAT much to do with it. "leaked" drivers are kind of like overclocking and tweaking: you hope to get a little bit more than you paid for. it's nice to get a new version that runs a
little bit better than the one before it. besides, playing around is fun. even if their is risk involved.
