KITT's (Knightrider) braking imposed up to 11.7 g's on the driver. Without a g-suit, Michael almost certainly would have blacked out when coming to a quick stop.

Plants scream when you cut them...

Here we show, to our knowledge for the first time, that stressed plants emit airborne sounds that can be recorded remotely, both in acoustic chambers and in greenhouses. We recorded ∼65 dBSPL ultrasonic sounds 10 cm from tomato and tobacco plants, implying that these sounds could be detected by some organisms from up to several meters away.

Geeze... Probably at least six in that tree, but the main stem's gonna be trailer boards, and maybe some boards for the barns. That tree didn't do much screaming either. It was dead as a post, though I did cut a live sucker off that was in the way. That might have screamed some. Oh, and the cherry that was in the way might have screamed some too. I had to cut that down first.

Hanging vultures in effigy to warn off other vultures is a thing.

Game of Thrones had it right, heads on a spike send a strong message.

Songwriter Laura Nyro had three top-10 singles on the Billboard charts in 1969 performed by three different groups.

Eli's coming hit #10 for Three Dog Night
And When I Die was #2 for Blood, Sweat & Tears
Wedding Bell Blues reached #1 for The 5th Dimension

Laura was also a singer and performer and her only top 100 single was "Up on the Roof" which hit #92 and was written by Carole King. Pretty much everybody in the late 60's and early 70's had a hit with a Laura Nyro song except Laura Nyro

More sad than Central Park being #1 for the US?
In the context of an urban park, Central Park is pretty amazing. It's also probably the most visited City in the US, maybe the world. This has more to do with the location than anything else. The worst NYC restaurant pulls in 10x the heads of a Michelin star restaurant anywhere else.

I learned yesterday the reason to not use an elevator during a fire isn’t due to it getting stuck, modern elevators are designed to not get stuck in an area you can’t get out of. Modern buildings (I think it was buildings built 70s and beyond) use the elevator shaft as a smoke stack to vent the building and make escape easier.
If you are in an elevator you basically are in a chimney.
