yep... when i really have to study or do some homework, i go to school and study there... if i study at home, i always take little study breaks and end up browsing the net for quite a while .
Yes. Blasted internet. Damnit! I should be sleeping, or studying. If I didn't have the internet at my desk, I'd be nearly 100% more effieicent. Of course I wouldn't have all sorts of random facts stuffed into my head.
For me the worst thing is that I absolutely NEED a computer for my studies right now, and I cannot even just unplug the 'net, since I have to have a search engine and online dictionaries handy at all times. Then, of course, I wander into AT and end up wasting a considerable amount of time here.
Imagine me, at home, in my room, door closed, and a fast computer with broadband internet access. It's pretty tought to study but I've overcome the attraction

Methinks you all need discipline more than isolation Once you learn to control those distractions you should be just as productive. I work and study from home, but I'm also single; I couldn't imagine doing it with children, wife, etc.
I've never had a problem studying at home w/ my computer on. This semester I have to study w/ my computer because my Database class & Telecom class both require computer work (imagine that )
