For the second straight year, Ducati dealerships come out on top in study measuring treatment of U.S. motorcycle shoppers.

As 2015 models continue to roll onto showroom floors, Ducati patrons can find confidence in knowing that they are in the best hands, as the newly released 2015 Pied Piper Satisfaction Index U.S. Motorcycle Industry Benchmarking Study indicated that – for the second straight year – Ducati dealerships are the highest ranked brand. Of the 18 manufacturers evaluated, Ducati landed on top in the study that measured dealership treatment of motorcycle shoppers between July 2014 and April 2015.

The study takes into account factors such as the availability of test rides, dealerships encouraging customers to sit on the motorcycles, and salespeople requesting customer contact information and trade-in information. Ducati dealerships have been ranked in the top three for nine consecutive years, and despite landing on top in the 2014 edition, still managed to improve upon that stellar performance, setting the industry standard once again.

I would have to say that I agree with this 100%. Having bought a couple Japanese bikes (you practically have to sign a purchase agreement to take a beat up used bike for a test ride-forget test riding a new model).

Ducati on the other hand has let me ride just about every bike they make and they have demo models readily available. I've taken bikes home overnight as loaners many times. Just great customer service in every respect.

It's all about the selling price. The more you make per unit, the better the service you can offer. Harley dealers are the worst by far, but Harley still manages to out sell every other bike in US combined.

you pay for that service. the equivalent jap bike, in respect to power, is always cheaper. ducati are a premium brand, and they know it.

mind you , i really like ducati. haven't ridden one since my 748r, but back then, it ws a jewel. nowhere near as powerful or as fast as the money equivalent in a suzuki, but a terrific ride.

i still think the best bike i was ever on was my superblackbird.

Probably because they get a lot of practice with their customers...
