I am pretty sure I want to next semester....or spring 06.

Here are my choices as of right now.

Tokyo, Japan
London, England
Somewhere in italy
Australia..

I am leaning more torwards japan or england. I have been to both countries but ithink those would be the easiest to live in. England for obvious reasons but Japan becuase they would also teach in english.

The thing is tha ti lived in japan from 2nd to 6th grade so i dont know if i choose there to go since i already know the culture. But i was also thinking that it would be cool to see japan from an old aged point of view...

thoughts?

I'd do Italy--probably one of the few times in your life that you'll really feel comfortable going to a place where you don't speak the language for a truly significant stretch of time.

Besides, it's Italy. :wine:

Australia all the way, beautiful weather, excellent, hot chick filled beaches, friendly people like me, not anywhere near as expensive to live as most of europe (esp the UK :p), amazing country to see...plus we all speak a form of english...

AUSTRALIA FTW!!!!!

England. The degrees are actually worth something here. You will have to actually work though, I'm afraid.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices.
I spent 2 years in Sweden studying, and it was the best decision I ever made. I still have many friends from there that I speak to on a daily basis.

I think tokyo woudl be awesome. I dont really speak any japanease but what better way to learn. The classes ARE teached in english tho so that part i will be ok on. I think i would get the best education there too.

I am not sure where in italy i would go but i know for london and tokyo for the other two.

The only real reason i would pick italy is the culture, food, and the fact that out of the other three its the only one i havent visited. I have been to greece which isd kinda close but not the same thing.

Australia is a very cool place, the barier reef was awesome..i just dont know if there would be as much to do there as there would be in tokyo or london.

London has the plus of the language..and really good music/concerts/pubs/soccer.

Tokyo has the plus becuase...its...tokyo..Anime,Jpop,omg the food, the people, the sights

there is more to our CONTINENT than just the barrier reef :p You couldn't see all the big tourist attractions in Australia in a year even if you wanted to. The way i see it, come to Perth/Melbourne/Sydney/Adelaide and you'll meet awesome people, they all have a great nightlife/clubs/pubs, get a very reputable semester's marks, and as a bonus have an amazing, unpolluted environment to enjoy, and don't forget our awesome beaches (surfing/diving/fishing)...+ as i said we all speak a form of english ;)

I have heard nothing but great things about studying in both London and Australia. I would go to Australia myself, great weather and beautiful place.

One semester would not have been enough for me. Hell, 2 years wasn't enough for me.
You are going to want to travel wherever you decide to go, so limiting yourself to one semester will make travel near impossible. Just remember that living abroad is an adjustment. Some people find it difficult to move somewhere where they don't know anyone. I saw a lot of exchange students go home after only a couple months because they couldn't handle it.
