Has anyone had favorable experiences with StudioDV (1.x) and newer VIA chipsets? (eg, KT266)?
I'm currently using it with a Shuttle HOT-569 and K6-2 333 with no problems.. I'm in the middle of an upgrade to an Athlon 1.2g. I had planned to go with the Gigabyte 7DXR until the KT266A benchmarks & reviews came out.. But I remember hearing about problems with DV capture & output to tape with VIA chipsets about a year or so ago (with the KX133 chipset at the time). Since then, I've heard many people recommend staying clear of VIA chipsets if planning to do DV editing..
