Studio PCTV Pro PCI Window XP install help

Hi,

I just purchased the new Pinnacle Studio PCTV Pro PCI card tv tuner and I can't get it to install under Windows XP. Whenever I load the Tv tuner program, it causes my computer to crash. I have tried moving it around to a different pci slot and that doesn't help either. It also won't let me unistall the main tv viewing program.

Two questions:

1) How do I unistall a program that is corrupted. I have been trying to uninstal the Pinnacle software from control panel, add/remove programs and it says that it cannot uninstal due to a correputed uninstall file.

2.) Any tips to install the tv card and get it running without it crashing my system. Any other help would be great too. I can't find any windows xp drivers for this card either.

I don't know why it's crashing your XP system. I'm using XP Pro and is running fine (minus no sound--still trying to figure that out w/ my X-Gamer 5.1).

to uninstall a corrupted install--just install it again and hopefully it'll override the corrupted file(s). if not and if you know you're way around the registry, kill all the pctv entries (don't touch the reg if you dont have a backup or not too familar w/ it).

Does anyone know how to get PCTV Pro working with PowerVCR II? When I go to options | channels, both cable and antenna are grayed out so i cant select either.
