My local Office Depot has the Pinnacle Studio Dv card for only $49. That is half the regular price. The best I could find it on the web was $81 dollars so I think it is a hot deal. Great for editing your new mini dv camcorder tapes. It comes with an ohci (standard) firewire card, firewire cable and the popular Studio DV software. A firewire card and dv cable can cost more than $49!
Btw...the software was the latest release (1.05a).
They apparently don't sell this card on Office Depot's website and hopefully it isn't just a pricing error at only my Studio City, Ca store. Good luck.

This is my first post and wanted to thank everyone for some awesome deals over the year. Keep up the great work. :D

The sale must be nationwide. The analog version (Studio 10 Plus) is $79.98. Don't forget to use the $10 rebate to make the deal even better.
Merry Christmas to y'all.

Thanks for the heads-up. I picked up two of 'em in Burbank CA. A great xmas gift for my bro-inlaw and me!

BTW The included editing software is fantastic, if you have a DV camcorder this sys, or similar, is a must have.

Anyone has compared the Studio DV vs. Dazzle DV-Editor SE (except for the $20 price difference)? I'm very tempted to buy the Studio DV although right now I'm pretty happy with the Dazzle.

Well I am going to OD now to pickup this card. I originally bought the other dazzle, but it isn't getting recognized in any of my systems. Hopefully I will have more luck with this one :)

NCTiger, as far as I know, all Digital8/MiniDV Sonys should be compatible.

Yeah, Studio DV is easy but I personally like Premiere b/c it has a lot more
features and I'm used to a lot of other Adobe stuff--but right now, the Studio DV
card has a lot of problems w/ Premiere 5.1--however, 6.0 should be out next month which
should have a lot better DV card support.

Just my two cents... =P

100% Win2k support. I'm using it right now on my win2k box perfectly. Check before you post.

hmmm... from what this pagethis page says, there are some issues with W2k.

Maybe they don't have their info together, but it sure ain't reason for you to be telling anyone what to do RobK. It can bite you back.

WRONG! That page is old and refers to the OTHER DV products they sell, not the entry-level StudioDV. If you go to the drivers page there is a full W2k updater. I assure you, this product is the most solid one you will find for win2k (I tried about 3 others, including the very overpriced Miro product)

Oh, and I bite back harder WoundedWallet so shut your piehole!

Whether the page is old or not I don't know. But it is the information I got from their website following the logical steps. If you have different information, great for those that need it.

But what you still don't understand is how to talk like an adult.

It's because of little nats like you that the mods are so active in this forum. So go back to the piehole you came from because you still need to do some growing up. We don't need people like you here.

Just picked the last one up at OD near my work. Gotta give this a bump.
Appears to be a brand new batch of these cards. W2K support is stated right on the box.
Half-price == good deal!
THNX!

Bogus, I just went to the local Office Depot (Raleigh, NC) and they are not having this sale! They claim that they will match it if it can be shown on their web site. Sucks to be me.
