The problem when you just make shit up as you go along is that a lot of the time you are wrong.
And what exactly is it you claim is wrong? Be specific - what you quoted don't disprove ANYthing I said.

If you think about it in pragmatic conservative terms from the Chinese side, its more like a bloodless economic war against a stupid consumerist opponent/competitor, the US. Between Apple/Foxconn, Walmart, and a handful of other outsourced market driven industries, ROC is going to suck the wealth right out of the US. They have openly said they will do this, and conquer the US without firing a single bullet. If the low cost commerce and under-regulated industry doesn't destroy their country first that is.

Of course a handful of Americans know this and they are just trying to get theirs' at the nation's expense, they will be wealthy enough to GTFO before it all collapses.

If this is true then its really disgusting, just another reason for smaller government.

Your absolutely right on the second point, most Americans dont care about whats happening to these children, as long as they can get it for cheaper then they have no problem

Oh but if we produced these phones in the US, we'd have to pay the employees a fair wage and that turns less of a profit for the guys on top...why distribute the wealth when we can enslave poor people in foreign countries so I can make millions a year.

Then you'd bitch about how these factory workers are leeching off of Foxconn and advocating for them to go back to China.

Having to provide fair wages, health insurance, and retirement options for these people if they actually worked in the US would be something you'd bitch about.

When they wear out and retire earlier than someone like me who works a non-manufacturing job and try to get SS or Medicare..you'd complain that they are ruining the country.

Labor is cheap in China, its a paradise for companies that want to produce their products but not have to pay people much for them.

How much do you think Foxconn makes in profit each year? Lets say $100 million, they don't pay anything for employee benefits and next to nothing for wages. Thats how stuff works in China.

These people work and have to pay nearly %90 of their salary for company supplied housing and living supplies because they don't make enough to afford a place to live or food outside the company walls. The company KNOWS this. They don't care. The workers can't unionize, they don't get health care. They are slaves.

You were all gung-ho about your idea that poor people are poor because they are failures and don't deserve special attention, yet you seem sad for these folks? Why? If they were America, you'd blame the situation on them and not the company.

I love how some people cling to the false belief that China and its government has never had instances of corruption and/or human rights abuses on a massive scale. I guess the cultural revolution never popped into their heads or they completely blocked it out from their own perceived reality of what governments can turn into in a "Workers Paradise".

Or that if this story is true that Chinese government officials were not somehow involved in turning a blind eye while taking their own cut. Fact is no one does business in China without first receiving government approval and if Chinese communist officials dislike you or your company you better believe they will shut you down before you can say anything about it. Oh and lets not forget how the last Foxconn story previously had portions which where blown out of proportion or completely made up by the original author of the article.

Look, China is a piece of sh*t, but this article reads like complete fvcking bullsh*t to me. Is it from a real, trustworthy source?
