you've already got the 2nd amendment advocacy group: the NRA, and the millions of others who already seem to think that the ONLY right that matters is the 2nd.

armed death: a right!

access to health care: fuck no! man up!

Everyone in America has access to health care. Health care isn't a right, it is a service provided by trained professionals.

*sigh*

There is a clip of one Latino student at the school shouting "We have every right to celebrate our national holiday."

You are an American citizen and you consider Cinco de Mayo your national holiday?

You don't see the difference between gun ownership and health care?

Owning a gun is just that, you sit by yourself with your hunk of steel in your hands.

To say health care is a guaranteed right, demands that someone else is duty bound by the government to provide that health care, someone else is duty bound by the government to learn medical training. Are we ready to have government take full control of health care? The question here is, does government takeover of health care improve health care?

A lot more complex situation than someone sitting along with a hunk of steel.

From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.

That's how the loony left determines rights.

I think it's a little more sophisticated than that. I think the reasoning goes something like this:

(1.) Everyone needs health care but it is potentially very very expensive and thus everyone needs insurance which can also be very expensive for some people.

(2.) Since real socialized medicine has been proven to be the most efficient and best way for a society to deliver health care to everyone and since a real capitalist system would be wasteful and far more expensive and result in the untimely deaths of millions of people over time, it would be best to have socialized medicine.

On the flip side of that argument, if health care isn't a right that all Americans have like the right to bear arms and the right to free speech there is nothing to stop the doomsday scenario that's being presented of the government taking over health care for everyone and deciding who lives and who dies (death panels!!!!11!).

I think the support for the AZ law in polls , this flag issue, shows how tired people are getting of the illegals situation. It is like when you let a friend come stay with you and at first you really get along, but the longer they stay the more they start to feel like it is their home now and they start eating all the food, and start disrespecting you and your home . The USA has done that with the illegals situation. We let a few come, then a few more, we added support for spanish speaking people to most things like packaging, government agencies, stores, etc to make them more comfortable about being here. We supported their mothers and children with medical, food, housing.

It has reached the point where our generosity has been abused and it is time to tell that friend to get out and get their own place.

It's also tough time economically and they (the illegals) make for a good scapegoat.

They are more than a scapegoat but a huge factor in using up resources without giving anything in return.
Especially in places like CA and Tx, not so much elsewhere. Of course they do help the agricultural business in CA greatly. The only solution I can think of is to revamp the migrant worker program where it can be made easier for these workers to travel to CA to work in the fields, be taxed and tracked and then be sent back to Mexico.
