LISBON (Reuters) - A Portuguese school student is under police investigation for spraying toxic gas into a classroom to avoid taking a mathematics test, a police spokeswoman said Tuesday.
The test was canceled and the 16-year-old's teacher and six other pupils were taken to a hospital Monday, complaining of irritation, but were discharged shortly afterwards.

"He didn't have much idea of the consequences. It was the first incident of its type at this school and the case is still under investigation," the spokeswoman said in Santa Maria da Feira, near Portugal's second city Oporto.

The spokeswoman could not specify what gas the student sprayed. Local media said it was of a sort restricted to the security forces and whose unauthorized use can be punished by up to eight years in jail.

lol .. reminds me of the kids in high school who wpuld pull firealarms to get outta tests. Got so bad in a week that they installed a breaker that would go to the main office and send out a campus officer to check it out before it was dispatched to the city emergency.
