Student Loans (Salliemae)

A portion will go to the school to pay off the tuition, the rest will go to you by direct deposit or check.
 
Not necessarily true. At my school if you don't have direct deposit then the main campus gets all financial aid funds, takes out anything you owe, then cuts you a check for the remainder. But the check comes from the school, not the lender or other agency. Since I'm on a satellite campus the main campus mails the check to this campus, then I have to go pick it up.
