I'm going through my bank.. BofA.

Took out $10k last year.. taking another $13k this year because California decided to give less money to education.. bastard of a governor. Also because I can't claim independent status till I'm 25 and my parents supposedly make too much..

If you can't get a loan cuz your parents are rich, maybe that's telling you something. Borrow money from them.

run into any investment bank, yell "dotcom, dotcom, the bubble is BACK BABY!"

whip out a chart of EBAY/AMZN/YHOO's stock price and they'll throw money at u as if it was 1999. then use the money for college as an R&D expense, file for bankruptcy and retreat to your tax shelter in the bahamas worldcom style.

bonus points if you use magic martha stewart foresight technology to determine how long your stock lasts before it tanks from the IPO date

My parents are not wealthy, but they do make a good ammount of money---they just dob't seem to spend too well.

You could always try to be independent so you qualify for student aid... Though from what I understand the process is pretty difficult for younger people.

Man you CA folk. $11 per credit. Now at $22, you're more in line with the rest of the country. CCs in TX are about $28-33 per credit hour, in district, $60ish out of district, out of state forget about it, its the same cost as a 4 year public uni's instate cost.

They will only give you what you need per semester. They may grant you a loan for $XXXXX but you're only going to get whatever you need per semester but you probably already knew that. They send the money for each semester to the school, and the school sends the rest of the money to your bank.

Its pretty easy if you are

1. married
2. in the military
3. have dependents
4. an orphan
5. over 23
