FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) - A Franklin High School senior faces expulsion for the rest of the year and possibly even criminal charges for sending a pornographic picture to everyone in his school.

The student hacked into another students account to send a picture of a man's genitals to 2400 students, faculty, and staff last week.

Several students who opened the e-mail told their teachers immediately.

Principal Craig McCaffrey said his IT specialist was able to quickly retract the emails and only about 100 people had opened it. Next, the specialist was able to track the email to a specific computer. One of ninety school security cameras captured the picture of the student who was sitting at the computer at the time the email was sent.

"He didn't deny it and said he just kind of did it as a joke, was his explanation for it," said Principal McCaffrey.

Internet pornography is no laughing matter to parents.

"What if you sent it to someone's house and their parents aren't home and a child opens it? I mean that's just ridiculous. I don't believe it's the school's fault. I mean, the internet just worries me," said Laura Morefield, a parent.

McCaffrey said the senior has been suspended for ten days and faces expulsion the rest of the year. Police are preparing to turn the case over to the Johnson County prosecutor. Prosecutor Lance Hamner said it appears two crimes were committed; computer trespass, and the more serious crime of dissemination of matter that is harmful to a minor.

"It squarely fits the statute that says if you give pictures or depictions of something of nude people to kids, that's a crime," said Hamner.

McCaffrey said despite computer classes that all his students must take classes that teach ethics. He said some students still don't understand how serious sending inappropriate emails or posting inappropriate messages on the internet can be.

He hopes others will learn from this incident. The unidentified student may not graduate on time, and could find himself in serious legal trouble.

What kind of goody two shoes pussy tells their teacher the second they receive something inappropriate? Good Lord, these kids are going to be completely fucked when they enter the real world.

What a stupid thing to say. You know what worries me? Badgers teaming up with sharks to dominate land and sea. You know why I don't say that out loud? Because we have balloons and can retreat into the sky. But even more than that, I don't say it because it makes me sound fucking retarded. So does complaining about an entire medium.

The computer trespass charge is definitely deserved.

Yeah, it's not terribly difficult to find genitals on the internet anyway. They have them on wikipedia...

Yep, this is only news worthy because it was a penis. Not enough people see penis pornography so a penis is much more shocking. If he was more openminded and resourceful for a true shocking experience he would have locked down all pcs at the school with the meatspin.com video playing as a screensaver.
