I'm a student at Purdue, and Dell gives us "special offers". Well I decided that I didn't like their systems and wanted to build my own computer, but they had an 18" LCD screen for $480 and that sounded reasonable to me, so I was all set to buy it. So today I go there, and I'm ready to check out and then they add on $40 for shipping charges and $37 for taxes!!!!! I was PISSED to say the least, I don't have all the money in the world right now. And the dot pitch is only 0.2805mm so I wasn't too thrilled when I found that out either. Just wanted to get a little rage out of my system 😀


On another note, does anyone know of a good deal on a 17-19" LCD monitor?

I'm assuming you mean the 1800FP. $480 for that monitor isn't bad considering it is normally $600. Don't expect to get it anytime soon though. Mine should arrive about 1 month after I ordered it (May 20th). If you can I would avoid Dell, they like to screw around with your order to see how much they can piss you off.
