So I'm taking a Visual Basic class this summer at the community college for $130. Part of the course is that you get access to the MSDN Academic Alliance Software Center. I get free downloads (or you can order a CD) of the full versions of a variety of Microsoft software: Windows XP Professional, Visio, Visual Studio.net, SQL Server 2005 Dev. Edition, Windows 2000 Pro, Windows Server 2003, etc.

Now, I know that many of you know how to... umm... "find" software anytime you want it, but I'm really happy to have all this stuff available. I'm going to be doing a lot of downloading over the next few weeks!

Yup, MSDNAA rocks. Running my main desktop with WinXP Pro courtesy of taking EECS courses at Berkeley.

Yes, that's what I like about it. Hard to come by such things... especially from Micro$oft.

You can keep them and use them forever, even after the course ends.

Actually I think the agreement says that you're supposed to get rid of them after your MSDNAA license expires, but I think its ridiculous to get rid of them after I finish taking every EE or CS class. I could careless anyways.
