Anyone have any ideas of how to get a stuck screw out?

I'm trying to unscrew the back of my laptop so I can replace the fan....but I think i've also managed to strip a good deal of the head. Any ideas?

Try different sized drivers both phillpis and standard.

sears and other places sell a bit that can handle it. otherwise, if you have a much smaller drillbit, a drill, and a steady hand, you can drill it out...but i cant imagine that being a good idea to try with a laptop

You can sometimes get a grip with a pair of pliers.
And remember to use the correct screwdriver. Lots of people use Philips screwdrivers for Pozidrive screws. That screws up the screws (Haha. Bedtime for me, I guess:)

if thats what it takes, thats what i'll do...anyone have any other suggestions before I attempt that. Its a little irritating because I managed to get it out yesterday, and today I can't

thanks guys, ended up using a flathead screwdriver and turning it with a pair of pliers. Longer lever=more torque
