I just bought a new Asus VG248QE monitor. When first powered up there weren't any stuck pixels but after about 30 minutes, a single blue dead pixel showed up. It stays blue regardless of the screen color. I've tried tapping, massaging, tapping and massaging then cylcing the monitor power as well as the UDpixel tool. The pixel stays stuck. That is until I turn it off and let the monitor "cool" down. From cold, the pixel is unstuck for about half an hour then it shows up again.

Any ideas? If I can't fix it, I might just pay the re-stocking fee to return it...

I can't stand stuck pixels and would return it too. If you are very picky about monitors then I think you should start buying Dells. No hassle 30 day returns are a god send with monitors

Great post, I only found one post like this. I got an EVGA SC17 laptop and it has this same issue. The area of pixels affected change colors for about a minute when I purposely change the background color to red/green/blue/yellow/black, etc...only if the laptop monitor has been off for a few hours. But after a minute, they are stuck on greenish/yellow color. It's hard to see the pixels affected because the screen has a plastic AG coated window in front of the IPS display, so the camera cannot focus properly. Anyways, if you turn off the monitor for 30 minutes, it shows up in a few seconds. If you turn it off for less then 15 minutes, it shows up right away. I can't rub it because it has the plastic window in front the IPS screen. I don't want to repair it, because that involves stripping the whole unit apart to get the monitor out and I know the laptop is going to be scratched up and thrown around in shipping (checkout EVGA's glassdoor, specifically the shipping dept.) I'm going to exchange mine, but I'm curious if anyone knows what situation causes this.
