Stuck on Pixel :-\

Alright I got my NX1760 display today, and it's absolutly awesome, however it's got a pixel that is stuck on green... kind of near the center of the screen, i tried rubbing over and around it real hard but that didn't seem to help any, are there any sepcific tricks that might help me rid this pixel problem of the screen while avoiding a return/exchange?

Thanks for any input, I was hoping so much not to get one of these and i did anyhow... :-\ I guess it's not a major deal, but I mean if i spend $500 on something which is a lot of money for a 16 year old like myself, I expect it to be perfect i guess ya know?

In my experience, rubbing the pixel is completely useless. $500 is a lot for anyone to spend on a computer part - if you aren't happy with the item, you should return it for an exchange.

If the stuck pixel is in the middle of the screen, it will be very annoying in games and videos.

The rub technique worked for me, try using your fingernail or something. Don't worry about the screen 😀! I have an LCD with 3stuck red pixels in a cluster, and that trick worked for me.

It is a little risky to be jabbing your fingers into your monitor

FYI that is called a DEAD PIXEL... i don't think there is an easy way to fix it and most manufacturer wouldn't RMA it unless you have like 10 of them...

your best bet is to return it if you bought it from a major electronic store... like circuit city or bestbuy? they have hassle-free return which is awesome

good luck

No no - a dead pixel is completely dark (black) and is often mistaken for a speck of dust on the screen.

If a sub-pixel (red, green, or blue, or white if all 3 are stuck) is always on, it's called a stuck pixel.

Since you're still in the 30 day satsifaction guarantee period, ask for an exchange and not a RMA.

Exchange it.. hopefully you ll get another piece with a more favourable dead/stuck pixel location!!
