Stuck in BIOS

Just recently whenever I leave my PC off overnight, the next day when attempting to power up it would get stuck during POST just after showing the CPU. Then mysteriously after a random number of retries it would boot up as normal again. There has been no change in terms of hardware or BIOS settings and everything's running at stock level. I know this isn't much to go on but from the more experienced folks, what are some possible causes? Power supply? Memory?

About to update firmware next.

Noticed that if I turn memory test on during boot, it never seems to stop, just happens again and again in a loop, up to 3 times now. How many times is the memory test supposed to run?

Assuming you mean flash the BIOS that would be my first step. Actually, I would probably try clearing the CMOS first and flashing second. Doesn't even have to be a newer version, the same would work. Of course if there is a newer version, might as well go with it.

Thanks for the reply I did just that, and cleared CMOS. However won't know for sure until I leave this off overnight... One odd thing is after flashing I had to reinstall my video driver.
