Are you a perfect fit for this "dream" job?

Friend of ours talked with one of the dream companies to work for, and first two interviews were very positive, third one turned out to be the first talking to anybody with hiring authority and the job did not fit at all. The first person had just been beating the bushes to get a stack of resume's.

Doesn't matter if you have been at a job two weeks or ten years, unless you have some contractual obligation when the dream job pops up you take the interview and the job if offered.

Cost of living and a chance to interface with RudeGuy. Also, 6 months of snow to play in. :p

Jules isn't welcome here. We already have our token California transplant. That fulfilled our Affirmative Action quota.

My Mom is from Grand Rapids, MI so I've spent a fair amount of time there growing up... enough to know that I don't ever want to live there. :p

You are 100-200 miles to far south then if that is the area you are using as a reference.
SoCal and SoFla people are just to fair weathered to appreciate what is there.

Grand rapids is a great town. Lived in the area for several years before moving further north.

It is fantastic in the fall. The rest of the year you can keep. Last time I was there was in December... a more dreary place on the planet I can't imagine.
