So an entire Gatorade exploded inside my car and splashed onto my stereo faceplate. Now, the leftmost button is almost completely stuck. There is NOT enough space to get anything between the button and casin. DOes anyone know of a cleaning liquid that would eat the gummy Gatorade but not the electronics/lcd/etc?

There has to be a way you can remove the deck so you can clean it... that's the only reliable way.

Should be able to get the face plate off,and use denatured spirits to clean it.Or alcohol on a Qtip.

So, I'm assuming this is a detachable faceplate to a head unit. You could send it to the manufacturer to get cleaned up. I've done that with my Eclipse when the CD bay stopped working. The fixed it and cleaned it for free!! Check with the manufaturer. You'll probably have to take it to POS (Point Of Sale dimwits) and have them ship it (for free). Look into this as an option. You might be able to just send the faceplate in for repair/replacement.

Well I pulled the detatchable faceplate apart and cleaned the crap out with a Q-tip and alcohol. I put it all back together and it seems to work fine, and I only have 1 extra spring!
