Stuck bolt

My bike has a flat tire and I can't even unscrew the nut to get the tire off

I've sprayed the hell out of it with WD-40, smashed a hammer on the wrench, and the stupid thing won't budge. Any tips?

DID IT!!! I don't have random pipes lying around so I took the handle off the snow scoop, slipped it over the ratchet, and bam! Easy as pie. Physics FTW.

More serious - have you tried applying force on the opposite surface? Immobilize the bolt and try to use the hub/frame to apply torque.

Otherwise, you can get extreme and apply fire.

Like a really long socket wrench without the ratcheting action.

You could also get a cheater bar which is just a big piece of pipe you put over the end of your wrench to get MORE TORQUE!

I've had pretty good luck with liquid wrench. Soak it down really well, and let it sit a couple of hours(may or may not be necessary).

In the future, if you are using a boxed end open end wrench you can do the following. Grab a second boxed end wrench, the longer the better. Placed the proper wrench over the bolt head or nut. Take the second wrench, place the boxed end over the lower portion of the open end of the first wrench such that the shaft of the second wrench is inside the cavity of the open end. You have now effectively doubled (or more) the length of your wrench and you dont need to find anything for leverage that will fit over the end of it.

Its easier to get it off when you have a big tool.
