Im going to be getting a new graphics card soon and im torn between these two,would like some advice from you guys. Im mainly going to be playing World of Warcraft,so that's what it'll be used for.

The BFG 6800 OC, or the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro, Which would be better for WoW?

well the 6800 nu is $100 more but its a faster card, probaly 30% faster. Ati has no card right now to compete against any of nvidia's cards due to the high prices they are selling for, so I would go with the 6800.
 
Short answer: the 6800NU is ~30% faster than a 9800Pro. The 6800OC is slightly faster than that. I would look for benchmarks and/or opinions from WoW players if that is what you intend to primarily play, as individual games may run faster or slower on particular hardware.

Long answer: search. This stuff has been discussed to death in Video.
 
Thanks for the replies guys,should have looked in the Video section,didnt even think about it though. I'll research a bit more,but it looks like im leaning towards the 6800.

Depends on what CPU you have as to wether either of those cards will perform well for you, have a look at the hardware guide for WoW here
 
I've used the 9800 Pro, and the vanilla BFG 6800 OC on an AXP, and an A64. The 6800 is noticeably smoother during game play on both machines.

If you like ATI, I would go with an X800 series, not a 9800 card.
