stuck at 60hz in opengl - nvidia. win XP

opengl games are running at 60hz, i want to force them to 100hz
running an 8800gts, under win xp sp2... cant see any refresh rate override in control panel..and is it just me or is nvidia control panel really crap.. coming from using ati cards for past few years

i tried RefreshForce program but it had no effect.

anyone?

ok i have now found a fix program that does work - http://www.youknowiknow.co.uk/.../directrefreshv1.2.zip -
but it has to be running in the background all the time. isnt there some kind of permanent fix?

Load a custom monitor driver (inf file) into Windows with the low refresh modes filtered out. You can edit your monitor's inf directly or use Rivatuner to do it for you. I have done this and it works flawlessly.
