Hey all

I'm pretty frustrated with my Overclocking progress maybe someone could offer some advice or help..

I have the follwing setup

Abit IC7, Bios 16
2x512 Kingston HyperX PC3500
P4 2.6C
AIW 9700 Pro
Generic NIC
IDE 40 Gig Maxtor
HP Burner
Antec true 480 PSU

I went through two boards, Two different CPU's , Even RMA'd The RAM cuz it wasn't running at rated speeds.
But despite all this I get stuck at 233 FSB tops. I am ussing a 5:4 CPU:DDR ratio so the mm woudl be under its rated speed and i even relaxed the timings to the lamest. But anything above that FSB fails prime 95 right way with Round errors.

Memtested the new RAM for 8 hours with no errors ( all tests, cache on)

I keep the AGP/PCI to 66/33 so I dont beleive its any of those cuasing the problem...what do you folks think?

i would highly doubt you hit a wall with that processor.... but it is very possible that you got a dud of a chip that'll only o/c 400 mhz...

have you tried 1 stick of ram at a time???

it may be the hyperX it may not...

try it with 1 stick and see what happens...
