GUYS!!!
well the oc is going very good!!!! i did 329*9 which is 2961 but the screen kept flickering. could that be more voltage? cause im doing it on 1.55+ a little 7 shift (forget what). well anyway my temps are 40-44 surfing the net and the maximum i had was 57. well thats good for 2.9 i think. also, did i need to lower the htt?? cause i didnt. i didnt even see it as an optiom. well anyway guys plz help me squeeze mre out of it. by the way the ram is on 329 also 3-4-4-9 i think.

EDIT: i can do 2.68 with 1.450 volts and 33 degrees :) ;)

Because your BIOS only supports a max of 1.45 vcore. Beyond that you will need to use +% adjustments . . .

Why cant you update it? Make a bootdisk and stick the flash utility on it and the bios. Reboot, wam bam thank you mam! Easy as that.

You are running 2.7 ghz on low temps. Why on earth would you want to upgrade the bios?

hey guys thx i kno dats pretty sweet that i got 2.7 on low temps but with more volts i think i would have some headroom. i mean this is enough but i wanna see if it can do anymore. anyway, in the bios it got "v-core 7 shift". how does it compare to actual voltage. i mean can anybody give me an equation that enterprets it? thanks.

P.S. BUY THE RAM I HAVE ITS THE BEST!!!!! (i mean the same as i got)

V-Core 7 Shift means it adds that much voltage to your VCore level. i.e. VCore + Shift = Actual Voltage

I couldn't get it to flash from Windows either; I think you might have to disable BIOS Write Protection to get that to work.

Get a floppy drive :p

EDIT!!!!!: i found the htt but it doesnt have the multiplier. it only has the numbers auto 1000 800 600 etc... i switched from auto to 800. then it has something else. it was like 16-16 8-16 16-8 8-8. i dont know what that is. also, do i have to do anything with the ram except the voltage??? a64s are real complicating to oc....BUT THEYRE GOOD!!

OMIGOD YES< DO IT RIGHT NOW

it must be under 1000 total = i.e. 329FSB x 3HTT multiplier = 987

you are using 329x5HTT mutli= 1645. If you keep that up you will scramble Windows

Yeah it takes me 1.61v to get to 2.7 . . . though it loads @ 37C . . .

Damn, I would have thought the later Venices wouldn't be that good . . . who woulda known Week 24 could be this good?

OP you may want to replace that stock cooler with an XP-90 . . .

Also how the heck are you getting 41C @ 2.7 GHz 1.55v on stock cooler???

Hit the print screen buttom on your keyboard paste that into ms paint and save as jpeg. Use imageshack.com to host your pic's.
