I bought a couple of tickets on Sunday and for anyone who knows the service the seller has 48 hours to confirm the order. At that point you can either have them try to contact the seller, cancel, or have them set you up with some other tickets. Time was getting tight so I just told them to cancel.
Yesterday I met someone locally and bought their tickets. I got home and found that the seller from stubhub had confirmed and sent me the damn tickets I canceled the order on the day before! Someone screwed up. It looks like the seller is going to get screwed because I will not be able to get the tickets back to them before the event starts if I use the return shipping label stubhub provided...
Here is the dilemma. Stubhub is supposed to protect the seller's identity. The return label has the seller's address and phone number. I could do the "right" thing and call the guy but at the same time I don't want to screw Stubhub.
What would you do?
Cliffs:
1) Bought tickets through stubhub
2) Canceled order when seller didn't confirm within 48 hours
3) Bought tickets the next day locally (craigslist)
4) Seller from stubhub must not have noticed cancellation, confirmed the order, shipped the tickets
5) Received tickets today and got a return label from stubhub
6) Seller will not receive the tickets until AFTER the show
7) Return label has seller's info (address/phone #)
8) Contact seller (who is supposed to be anonymous) or just ship them back because it's not my fault he screwed up.
9) ???
