StubHub, anyone use it?

Looking to get some concert tickets and StubHub looks to be the best place. My impression is it's kind of like the Amazon marketplace. Any opinions? Any alternatives?

Thanks!

I've used them twice and everything went smoothly both times. The first time it was close enough to the concert that I had to get the overnight shipping and it worked out great. I liked the guarantee they provide on the tix and if there are any problems receiving them or them being legit at the gate, but I've no idea how well that works if there actually is a problem.

ebay beats it 99 times out of a 100 in terms of price. stubhub would be easier for some people though I guess

Never had any problems using it, including MLB and NFL games (maybe a concert or two?). Some sports teams use them as a direct vendor to unload extra tickets, but it is also like Amazon Marketplace in that anyone can sell their tickets there. StubHub also gives you an 800 number to call if you are denied entrance with tickets purchased there for any reason. I've never had to use it, so I'm not sure if they could actually do anything if you really needed to get in the concert...

I just used it to buy some Tigers tickets. Snagged 3rd row tickets at face value for that section. Tickets were sent in an email 2 hours later and easily printed.

I've looked there in the past for football tickets. The prices are always a lot higher on Stubhub than eBay. However, I think part of what you are paying for is the greater level of buyer protection on Stubhub.

FWIW, If Stubhub were within 10-15% of eBay price I'd probably go with Stubhub.

I've bought many Detroit Tigers tickets over Stubhub, and sold some football tickets a couple times, and never had a problem either way.

I have gotten hockey tickets from stubhub and had good experiences. They don't quite screw you over as bad as ticketmaster, but you still have to pay the internet service fee for the seller so expect to pay over what the asking price is.

2 years ago I got radiohead tickets through them 2 weeks before the show, great seats, decent price. No problems at all, tickets got to me in 3 days.

Got Yankee tickets there. Very easy and a great price. I also bought my Secret Santa his gift from there, so yeah, I like the place.

I've used it for three cardinals games here in St. Louis. Printed tickets and got them scanned each time with on issues at all. It's the only way I buy tickets now...I get much better tickets then I would otherwise. Awesome idea they've got there.

I've used them for concert tickets and sports tickets. Sometimes you can find some good coupon codes too.

Got MLB tickets there for a game that wasn't being sold through TM, went smoothly, but I ordered months in advance.
