It was announced today that Stu Hart has been awarded the Order of Canada, which is the country's highest civilian distinction and normally goes to scientists or authors or whatnot. Stu's winning it was a bit of a surprise, in a way, but given Stampede Wrestling's influence on both the Canadian and international wrestling scenes, it was certainly deserved.
I really wish America had such a level of respect for wrestling and its leaders as the Canadians do.

Stu Hart is so awesome. So is his wife Helen, and so is Bret and the late Owen.
