I'm ordering two front struts for my Mazda from Monroe. Do you think I will need the strut mounts since these are not from Mazda or will the Monroes work with the current mounts?

If you ordered the completely assembled quick struts they already have new mounts built in.

Its good idea to replace the mounts, they cost nothing next to the struts, and are a much bigger wear item as they are made of rubber that does not last long. If your struts are bad enough to replace, your mounts are likely shot. Its one of those things you'd never notice until you replace them and notice the huge difference.

Thanks again. I actually hit a curb 2-3 years back an I believe I bent or popped a strut. I had a lot of work done all ready including a rim/tire, wheel bearing, axle carrier bearing, control arms, and rotors. This was all done on the passenger side of the car.

I ordered both the mounts and struts as you suggested, because I didn't want to take a chance finding out with the car suspended in the air.

Now I hear a squeaking sound coming from the driver side tire compartment. If I sit on the front driver side end I can hear a squeaking noise like its coming from the springs. I'm hoping it's just a lube job and the new struts/mounts will take care of it. Maybe the rubber bushings or ball joints.
