Any good? Ive have read reviews and have read what people have wrote about the game. But something about the game seems rather interesting and I think I might be able to get into it.....kind of curious is if its worth getting the stronghold collection, stronghold 2 or just crusader...

Stronghold 1 was awesome, crusader was great as well, the extreme edition is kinda ridiculous, but still fun.

Stronghold 2 was good, but it added several things that just made it more tedious, like crime, waste disposal, that were hard to solve, and hard to figure out. They make the game less fun, but other than that it was mostly the same game and still fun.

I liked Stronghold. I wish I hadn't given the disk away. I thought it was a lot of fun. Never played any of the others though. In fact, I think I'll look into them when I get home from work.

Stronghold just had you building a castle and stopping attackers, or attacking castles. In crusader, the enemy castles are on the map, so you are defending and attacking at the same time. I think the best one to start with is crusader. If you really like it you can get the others.

Unless there is some mod for it, limited screen rez options is the major drawback for the game.

If I was you, I'd go to GoG and just buy Crusader. It's a blast, and a huge improvement on the original, even though the settings are very different.

Stronghold 2 wasn't that good IIRC. I believe that was the 3D one and it wasn't as good as the first or Crusader. I don't recall Legends much, but I know I played it.

I think it's kind of a sub-deal of the 2kgames pack. link Don't know how long it's good for.

If you are into base building in RTS games then you will love stronghold 1 and crusader. Stronghold 2 and later just didn't capture the same feel.

If you liked stronghold 1 please tell them that you liked it over 2. They are working on stronghold 3 now and people need to really drive home to them what made 1 and crusader great.

Bought and loved Stronghold (1). Despite how old it is, it's better then a lot of games out today.

Haven't done much with Crusader but it has a lot more game types, never knew there was a Stronghold 2.

Stronghold Crusader was great, though some maps are hard as hell. Stronghold 2 was pretty good, but as others mentioned just didn't live up to the original.

I remember paying 30 for all of them when I bought the pack through Amazon... I wish steam had it at that time 🙁... I played stronghold and stronghold 2 thus fast...1 > 2 though 2 isnt that bad if you are a rts kind of person.
