Strong signal + otherwise good wifi. PC disconnects.

Hi all,

My internet on my PC while using wifi is awful. It'll randomly disconnect or hang or otherwise not work. Thing is I have other wifi devices in the same place that work just fine.

I've tried a couple of wifi adapters and it's the same thing. The only way I'm actually connecting to the internet from it atm is to use an old macbook 2008 and share it's wifi via ethernet connection. That actually gives me good internet and works all fine. So I'm fairly sure it's not my actual wifi, but something on my PC.

Mr router is a Draytek Vigor 2850n.

Any help would be brilliant.

I should add this is persisting after doing a clean installation from Win8.1 to 10 and using USB adapters.

Never heard of that router, so it could be a flaky unit, or the wireless NIC card in your machine needs new drivers, or it just don't like that router.
If you have a smart phone, then download a wifi analyzer, and see what it is showing why you are by your computer.

What does event viewer show when you lose net access?
