Stripped screw holes.

I recently put together a new rig using a SilverStone SG03 case. Some of the screw holes in the case are stripped though. I didn't realize how easy it was to strip screw holes in these aluminum cases.

Is there any way to fix these stripped screw holes or am I out of luck? Some of the stripped holes:

Back of the case where the side panel screws into with thumb screws.
Some of the holes for the standoffs for the motherboard.
One of the PCI / PCIe slot brackets where the card's own bracket screws into.

I don't know of anyway to fix them, I usually just replace them where I can... but uhh... how did you strip the thumbscrews? :S unless you meant the other panel that usually doesn't have thumbscrews (the panel that I end up putting thumb screws into).

i'd be concerned about the metal shreds that used to be
the threads. no good having bits of conductive stuff
floating around the inside of a computer.

problem is, if you take out the motherboard to clean
the case, there might be a chance of stripping more
threads.

Those little shards did come to mind after putting it all together. So I ended up using a whole 10oz can of compressed duster to blow crap out before turning it on for the first time.

You could always epoxy (or perhaps industrial strength double sided tape) 6-32 nuts (or whatever the appropriate one is for the hole in question (usually only 6-32 and 3mm are used for case screws) - also use stainless steel (or aluminum if you can find) to avoid corrosion) in behind the holes in the case - probably the easiest solution. I think Helicoil requires a deeper hole than is provided by the sheet metal of a case besides requiring a special tap and drill.
