Hi,

I would like to run two 74g Raptors as striped so to gain the performance. The mobo has a nforce 3 chipset and reading around here and on their site it would appear that this is possibly to do via the BIOS. I would rather do this so that its not managed by windows. Am I right in thinking that if it is handled by the bios (hardware) then I would be able to install as dual boot two OS's (Media Center 2005 and XP Pro)?

You can only run RAID if your hardware (your nforce 3 might or might not has it) support RAID.
and it's manage in a menu separated from BIOS menu if you have it.

If your mobo doesn't support it, you may be able to get away with using a pci controller card - more speed, less resources used.

But you would be limited by the PCI bus speed (133mb/s) because the max transfer rate of two raptors in raid 0 are higher than that.

The suttle only has one PCI slot and I am going to be using this for a dual tuner card so that I can run media center on it also.
