I really think that there needs some sort of orientation class when you get signed on to a professional team with continuing education credits given each year on "How to avoid problems".

Topics would cover:

1) The proper use of firearms
2) How to avoid a DUI (AKA Don't drink and drive dumbsh!t)
3) Money doesn't buy invincibility in high speed car crashes
4) How to drive a motorcycle responsibly
5) Avoiding underage girls and the problems that occur when you have sex with them
6) People don't care that you have money....they'll still beat your ass

I don't know about the NBA, but NFL teams often bring in consultants warning players about the dangers of picking up women in bars (some of whom are predatory and will try and extort the player later on).
