A little or both, Robbie's a good fighter and very tough. But Melvin's one of the hardest punchers MMA has ever seen, maybe the hardest. His kicks are fucking crazy too. But he's not well rounded. I really expected Robbie to try to take him down, Manhoef's horrible on the ground. I think in a rematch Lawler gets put to sleep. Melvin put Mark Hunt down with a single punch, nobody has done that. If he had connected on Lawler it would have been lights out.

not luck. but he was in trouble. NO way he was going to go another round and survive.

BUT I HATE LAWLER. HATE HATE HATE HIM.

Lawler definitely has some power, but I think he got a little lucky there, he was getting destroyed by Manhoef.

Anyone else thing the Bobby Lashley fight was just silly? i mean Wes Sims? really?

Yeah. That fight was a farce. But so was Lashley's last fight: Bob Sapp. But the Cyborg fight and the main even made up for it. Those chicks were throwing down.

BTW, how many people does Nick Diaz have to knock out before they stop saying he doesn't have any power?

Sapp is legit, he has fallen in recent years. But he's very strong and has beat some top level dudes in K1.

Diaz doesn't have power, even Frank Shamrock said so. He just said he's non stop with the punches. Diaz loses to any top 20 fighter he faces IMHO. I mean he pretty much has already, I mean in the future though.

Yeah, he said his punches don't hurt. But then again, a lot of things don't hurt as you're blacking out.

If Diaz were in the UFC, he'd be (and was) a mid-level competitor. But that goes for all the Strikeforce champs, except maybe Mousasi, but he's faced real shitty competition lately and is unproven against top 10 competition.

Man! Strikeforce has been putting on some exciting shows. Off the top of my head there was this card which was pretty great, the Cung Le/Smith fight, the Fedor/Rogers fight, the Raddich/Smith fight...

Throw in several lack-luster UFC cards with "questionable" decisions and you've got a solid #2.
