Strict low carb diet

i look at some of my gym buddies and the really ripped ones are all on the atkins diet... chicken breasts everyday with lettuce for bread...

i've come to the conclusion that i cant eat that way. thus my goal of being a bruce lee look alike is gone...

anyhoo... if you're on this diet... are you content with your eating habits and how it might affect you mentally?

Hmmm, well that guy definitely has genetics and possibly drugs on his side. It's true that most people who are that lean have to do some level of carb/water/nutrient manipulation to get that lean, although I doubt he looks like that all the time.

How lean are you now? You can still get pretty lean without having to worry too much about low carbs, carb loading, water retention, etc.

 
Atkins was a quack and anyone who is on a low carb diet is a fool. Your brain needs carbs to function and when you do not have enough carbs your body goes into a state of ketosis. One of the keytones your body makes is acetone. Yes, that's right, the stuff that's in nail polish remover. It's some nasty sh|t and if your body is in ketosis long enough you die.
