They seem to better than 12 - http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford--GT-Drag-Racing.html
I would not street race a $155,000 car...or even a $15,000 car. Take it to the track!

I wouldn't really call that street racing IMO MasterAndCommander, they are alrealy at speed on a highway and then gun it for a few seconds, that all![]()

GSXR 1000 as well as all the current class of 1000s are all 10.0 stock.. and most bikes these days dont stay stock...
the problem is most riders out there couldnt pull a 10 on thier bike if godzilla was chasing them... it takes alot more skill to drag a bike than it does a car.. bikes have to worry about power wheelies at 120+ mph on liter bikes in any of the first 3 gears...
that GSXR didnt even get show any air under the front from full throttle accelleration...
my new CBR1000RR pulls air just on throttle alone at 75 mph rolls in second gear...
GSXR1000 and ZX10s will do it in 3rd no problem..
thats no clucth just jump on the gas anywhere around 60-80 mph in 1-2-3rd
that 1000 flat out pwned that car.. he rolled off the throttle after he was a ways ahead..
cars even 600+ HP ones are no match for a well ridden modded bike..
our 0-60 and 0-100 times are way below what even the fastest supercar can do..
most bikes average in the 2 second range for 0-60

Que reference to 800hp viper against stock busa, slitghtly modded busa and turbo busa.

as ive posted many times before... Busas are slow pigs..
they are extremely outdated these days by bikes such as the GSXR1000 and ZX10
they are usually pussed out streched out machines that are geared low becasue thier riders think its the cool thing to do..
this is the biker circles is as bad as "ricing out a car"
busas are pretty much a joke..
only the "brothers" like them down here..
turbo streched geared busa VS GSXR1000 on street... = smoked busa sitting spinning his turbo while GSXR 1000 wheelies all the way down the street leaving busa guy sitting at the line..
and these bikes are not egared for topend either.... they are geared for drags which makes rollons vs cars a stupid and embarrasing thing to try..
same thing goes for the bikes that have been geared for stunts... they lose all thier mid and top end so agasint a car with a good topend.. read that 700hp supra... its gonna eat it for lunch across the topend..
where a stock geared 1000 with cams headwork and a race exhaust thats been dyno tuned is gonna eat that car for lunch all the way to 200 mph+ depending on how souped up the bike is...
btw you dont need to be a busa to be turboed you know..
there are several Mr. Turbo bikes here in Houston
1 is a ZX12 (also a heavy POS like the busa but a good drag platform)
1 is a CBR929RR that is all set up for topend runs and streetracing around the 610 loop here for money. (one of the fastest bikes i have ever seen flat out walks away from me at 180 mph like im sitting still...)
and one is a CBR600F4i believe it or not...
again not lowered or drag raced set up for street racing... this little ah heck eats 1000s for lunch.
if you dont believe me do some searching around the net... there are plenty of bikes that flat out kill the old technology Busa these days... it used to be king.. but not even close anymore..
5 years of bike technology is about the same as 5 years of PC technology.. it moves very fast... bikes that were the badboys not even a few years back are now being beaten BADLY by thier new lighter higher horsepower brothers...
