Street flooded Z06 safe to buy?

It could potentially cost more than it would to jsut buy a new one.

Edit: looked at the pics, it probably wouldn't cost as much as a new one, but I still wouldn't rule out the purcahse price plus repairs ending up pretty clsoe to the purchase price of a new one. There's areason the car was totaled out and sold rather than repaired.

Considering youd have a car or truck that stunk with mold and anything else that was in the water at the time of the flood. i.e.(raw sewage, etc etc) On top of that whether or not your electronics would work well for the length of any warranty, which may or may not be void. Theres alot more to worry about than just how it looks.

If you have a friend who owns a body shop, then it might be worth your while, otherwise steer clear.

It says there's no smell or mold but wait until you park it in the sun on a 90* day with the windows up.

On top of that, all the electronics are probably wasted and the crank case is full of water. Nice that they told you they tried cranking the hell out of it, though. Now you KNOW there is rust in the cylinders.

I don't know that much about cars really, but if it sounds too good to be true...

But if you do get a membership with them, let us know how it goes...and maybe share the wealth, if all goes well. 😉
