Street Fighter IV confirmed

Rumors were true



Capcom has confirmed the rumors about Street Fighter IV at an event in London. No additional info about the game has been available, but now we can be sure, Street Fighter is coming back.

A teaser trailer shows Ken and Ryu fighting and that is enough for most of us to get excited. Let us just hope that Capcom won't turn this into something regretful. For starters, we are talking about switching Street Fighter to 3D, that already ruined some of the good games. Or at least if Capcom does indeed go 3D, it better be good.

We are already seeing future sequels called Street Fighter IV: Hyper Mega something. You can check out the trailer here.

Street Fighter 2 was my favourite game of all time. I can't even imagine how many quarters I dumped into that game. When it came to the SNES my thumbs became raw from playing it so much. 😀

So is this for arcade? Console? What??? I'd love to see some actual gameplay footage.

I can't imagine it being on the PC, though as long as I can get a decent 6 button controller, I would love to play it on my comp.

Well... its quite possible to create a game using 3D graphics but still leave it a 2D style game. It would have to be well executed but it can be done.

I never understood why some people played that game. I tried it a couple of times and found it clunky and boring. It was rarely played at my local arcades.

Agreed, KI was a kinda fun game, I loved it as a kid but eventually found far better 2D fighters. I don't see why anyone would get so pumped about SF4 honestly, SF3 wasn't very good compared to 2 imo, and SF2 is really only fun for nostalgic reasons nowadays.

Trailers are just trailers - the games themselves usually don't look anything like the trailer.
