Street Fighter IV PC - $37 on Amazon

Wouldn't this need a Xbox controller to be played well on the PC? I wonder if they are going to bundle it when it finally ships? Hmmm

Bundle a controller??? That makes no sense. Go buy one for $30 and your set or use any existing controller like original xbox or ps2 and buy a USB converter.

SF4 is based on a Taito X2 Arcade System. The specs for a Taito X2 are:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6400
2GB DDR2 800MHz
PCIe Geforce 7900GS
Windows XP Embedded Edition
Realtek HD 7.1 Audio Sound System

I think the PC's are going to get the best port out of everyone!

oooh, get ready for some guile beatdowns !!!

i hope the netcode is good so I can pwn all the n00bs with my hax0r combo!

I wonder if any of those arcade sticks are available for a decent price. Most I've see are priced ridiculously high, and are not even available for sale in the US. I saw a few manufacturers online but they want $100+ 🙁

I hope they will make a nice arcade stick especially for the PC version of SF IV.

+1

They don't have an inexpensive stick for the Xbox 360 either. I made my own about a year ago but it took some very tedious soldering and ~$150. They really need to make a cheap option for PCs and for the 360.

Anybody played this version to know if it's any good?

A few years back (well, maybe more than a few years, since it was pre USB), they *did* bundle a controller for past fighting games, I think it was made by gravis. You never know what marketing thing they will do.

Use the 360 Sticks and Pads on PC. They're USB, and ebgames claims they work on PC. They should work regardless since they're usb 360 controllers.

Umm...what?

It was made for Arcade and ported to consoles. It's being 'ported' to PC too, but I use that loosely (hence the quotes) since the arcade board IS a PC with a Core 2 Duo and Windows XP embedded.

They will likely have to actually port back the console exclusives (extra characters and game modes) to the PC version (or is that not really porting either...)

Wow you're ignorant. There's already some SF4 machines in certain arcades around the USA and Japan at least.

Yeah, not sure about the states, but it's been out in Arcades in Japan since July of last year.

Interesting.

Are there any decent gamepads out there with an appropriate 6-face button layout? The console controllers have always been kind of trash for fighters since they only have 4 face buttons, but I haven't seen a decent pad for the PC with 6 since the way old school MS sidewinder.

Looks like MSRP on this game is going to be $39.99, I think I'd rather just wait it out and see if there are better deals when it actually gets released, which could be June 09 or later.

MadCatz made a FightPad for SFIV to go along with the arcade sticks.

The 360 version is compatible with PC.

I4AT: I'd guess you could probably cancel the pre-order at any point. Also, if Amazon were to have a lower price between now and the release date, then they automatically match your price to it.

They've definitely reached the states. Here's a list of them:http://www.eventhubs.com/artic...rcade-machine-tracker/
