It is sad. I play so much. I have over 500 ranked wins but only like 1200 bp. I can't even compete against Purbeast. After May 15 I should have more time to practice. Right now I just play matches because I don't have time to sit and practice my combos and execution.

i really only have 1 main, which is Balrog, but I am decent w/a few other characters which I also use when I am in player matches with people/friends, i like to change it up and stuff.

im hoping by next week i will have my new joystick built as well, i'm very anxious to try out the japanese parts which i've never once used.

I do want to play you again and see if I do any better with my Rufus.

if you see me on this weekend at all send me an invite.

but i will warn you, rufus has been one of the easier matchups for me when using balrog

I beat him with MY Balrog just once though... Then he beat me with his rufus a number of times

This seems interesting for PSN users.

PlayStation 3 owners: Street Fighter IV now supports game launching via PlayStation Home. What this means is that if you enter PlayStation Home with the SF4 disc in your PS3, you can open a lobby that is available for anyone around you to join.

The advantages of this over simply inviting friends to your game is that you can start clubs within PlayStation Home where many of your friends can congregate and plan out match-ups. When you're all done, you hit the PS button, select "Return to Home" and it takes you back to the last place you were. Of course, like SF4, it only supports two players at this time, but it's great way to meet new players. Tons of folk in Home have the game and have been waiting for this for quite a while.

Also, full disclosure, I work on Home This update came as a surprise to most of us this week, so we haven't gotten the word out just yet. But I tested it this morning and it works as advertised.

Wow! Capcom store just sent out my Tournament Edition SF4 Stick. After 3 months of waiting it has finally been sent!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Time to game on my 360 now . I have both 360 and ps3 versions woot.

I do like the disconnect % though.

Haha, I just love playing against turtles. They are annoying as hell but all you have to do is go up to them and throw. I killed a few skilled turtles and I've gotten angry messages back telling me to stop grabbing... it would never occur to them to stop turtling.

yea dude championship mode is just like a glorified ranked mode, i still dont understand the whole points thing (the kind you can lose).

yea, my first 2 days on CE mode was a never ending string of losses. I've made it to the semi final round like twice. Definitely higher quality players. I can't even imagine what it's like in the g2 rank. Well, actually I can because I've lost to a dude who I know is in g2 now.. The beating he put on me was amazing. Afterwards, I asked him about it, like if he could give me any pointers, and he said something like, "oh sorry I wasn't really paying attention.. I was watching basketball while we were playing"

I figure I'll take a break for a few days and let the better players move upwards. Maybe then I'll stand a chance at the g3 level

I got DC'ed on for the first time in CE mode today, I was kind of surprised.

The guy had like 1500GP points and it was semi finals. I only had like 950GP or so, and I beat him bad the first round and was whooping him the 2nd round, then all a sudden he is standing still, and bam, connectin lost.

I was kind of worried that I would get a DC as well, however my % did not move at all so looks like capcom did something right there.

I plan on not playing with ANYONE who has a DC% higher than 0%. I've played over 1600 matches and have not ONCE had a legit disconnect on my end, so I know it's a rarity.

anyone know exactly the deal w/the replays?

the first championship i won it automatically uploaded it. then the next one that I won, after I won it said press A to upload the replay, and I did.

from then on I won probably like 4 more and it never once asked me to upload it.

then this last one I won, I created the room and was player 1 (not sure if I was player 1 for any of the others that I uploaded, but I know I was player 2 for at least one, if not all of the times it wouldnt let me upload it) and it asked me to upload again.

i'm just not sure why sometimes it asks to upload and some it doesnt (if you win that is, I've lost some championship matches too).

5 championship matches, 5 disconnects in a row. I didn't disconnect, and I don't think the other player did either. Matches were horrible lag fest and disconnected way before anyone was winning big. 1/5 disconnect registered and now I've nice 1% disconnect ratio. I think I'm going to wait til everyone upgrades and the PSN network settles down. It's unplayable for me in current form.

yea i was talking about the final match, that is what i meant when i said championship, my bad.

i meant the final match where the winner is declared the champion heh.

Live has always been worth paying for. PSN is free for a reason.

I played some matches online. Just ranked, no championship mode. It's nice that they show the disconnect ratio, but I was disappointed that blind character selection doesn't apply to normal ranked/player matches.

I really like the new mode. It is silly that they call them tournaments but it does fix many things.

-blind select
-disconnecting doesn't really work
-nice to see the good players at the top of the leaderboard.
-Replays and the fact you can turn on inputs.

It seems I'm consistently playing against better players in the 3rd round and I think it is going to help me get better.

Is it taking forever for anyone elses match results to save? Seems like it takes 20 seconds.



Why oh why wouldn't they have added local match saving or add the blind character select to ranked?

I hope they continue to periodically improve things like this.

Yeah go to the leaderboard. There is a leaderboard for new saves and the leaderboard for championship and grade points has video icons next to people with replays.

This is for 360. I don't know how PS3 does it.
