Question streaming videos grainy

It could be that your LCD panel is a cheap 6-bit panel, and uses FRC / overdrive / dithering.
Not to mention streaming video being compressed, and depending on the connection speed it can make some major trade-offs.

There's just not any enough info in this thread to provide any kind of accurate answer.

Finally, some info besides "my monitor looks bad". Just a piece of advice, many of your posts are short and provide no detailed info. In the future, if you want help, take the extra 2 minutes to type a complete detailed question.

Your monitor is old. It doesn't even have HDMI or Displayport.

In fact, you created a thread in February saying you were going to get a different monitor because your 1080p monitor couldn't play Netflix in 4k.

Finally, you even posted a thread in August of 2019 saying you were having problems with the same monitor: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/monitor-screen-problem.2568590/

So, the short and sweet answer is: Buy a new monitor.

And you don't think this affects quality?

Your monitor is old, they get dimmer as they age. Buy a new monitor.

Once again, provide specific examples of what you are talking about.

Otherwise, you could be talking about streaming Avengers Endgame compared to Miracle On 34th Street.
