my monitor and gpu are hdcp ready why amazon prime even when on 1080p mode seems grainy where should i start?
sorry i did not get you even netflix hd in netflix app is grainyFilm grain exists outside of the resolution of the frame.
Grainy doesn't mean low res.
so in hd quality film can have grain in some scenes is it normal? i am using dvi to hdmi cableIf you don't think it's just natural film grain, it could be a low quality HDMI cable
Film grain exists in all media shot on film.so in hd quality film can have grain in some scenes is it normal? i am using dvi to hdmi cable
Not to mention streaming video being compressed, and depending on the connection speed it can make some major trade-offs.It could be that your LCD panel is a cheap 6-bit panel, and uses FRC / overdrive / dithering.
my isp speed is very good so no prblem on that partNot to mention streaming video being compressed, and depending on the connection speed it can make some major trade-offs.
There's just notanyenough info in this thread to provide any kind of accurate answer.
my gpu is 1660ti 6b monitor is samsung 2233sw 1080p 22"It could be that your LCD panel is a cheap 6-bit panel, and uses FRC / overdrive / dithering.
correct i did post for 4k but for now my monitor is hdcp ready which is enough for 1080p and i am using dvi to hdmi cable as my monitor has dvi and in nvidia control panel i can see HDCP status as enabled this is not about 4kFinally, some info besides "my monitor looks bad". Just a piece of advice, many of your posts are short and provide no detailed info. In the future, if you want help, take the extra 2 minutes to type a complete detailed question.
Your monitor is old. It doesn't even have HDMI or Displayport.
In fact, you created a thread in February saying you were going to get a different monitor because your 1080p monitor couldn't play Netflix in 4k.
https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/netflix-4k-playback-question.2576678/?view=date
Finally, you even posted a thread in August of 2019 saying you were having problems with the same monitor: https://forums.anandtech.com/threads/monitor-screen-problem.2568590/
So, the short and sweet answer is: Buy a new monitor.
And you don't think this affects quality?correct i did post for 4k but for now my monitor is hdcp ready which is enough for 1080p and i am using dvi to hdmi cable as my monitor has dvi
Once again, provide specific examples of what you are talking about.now i came to know only some movies are grainy on netflix but resolution is same for all movies i can check with ctrl alt shift D then why some are clear and some are grainy although resolution is same
ok so i streamed non-stop movie starring liam nison and mission impossible rogue nation but the former is very grainy continuously not in a particular scene but both had same resolution 1080pOnce again, provide specific examples of what you are talking about.
Otherwise, you could be talking about streaming Avengers Endgame compared to Miracle On 34th Street.
