Might anyone suggest a software capable of taking a video feed from a camera through a basic video capture card and then somehow allowing someone over the internet or over an internal network at the office to view that feed? I know there are software apps that are at times included with dinky webcams that can set up a surveillance setup that allow you to check what is going on in your room -- whether folks acutally end up using that or not the concept is pretty much what I need.
I know there was a free program.. hum was it VLC.. that would allow you to stream this but are there others? it does not even have to be streaming video - I could live with going to an actual IP address (ours at work or whatnot) that would show stills at intervals... though obviously the actual streaming video would be much nicer to see but I worry about the bandwidth.
Thank you
Robert
