I'm not sure when it started but there are some streaming videos that seem to kill my internet connection. As music videos linked from launch are becoming a popular addition to blogs, this is becoming more and more frustrating. What happens is that I will be checking out a site... that happens to have WMP imbedded, streaming a video. It isn't always from launch.com, but that's what I've noticed as the biggest cause. The video won't play, and my browser stops responding. I look over, and my VoIP appliance and lost connection.... but all the lights on the modem, and router are still active and healthy looking.
The only way to get my connection back is to pull the power to my Linksys befsr41(?).
I can't figure out what's happening, but any guidance would be appriciated.
Important knowledge?
firmware and drivers are up to date on all network nodes.
Linksys Befsr41(?) wirless B router, and N force 2 Ultra integrated NIC (Realtek?)
The System of a Down - B.Y.O.B video from videocodezone.com always kills the connection.
Windows XP Pro.
Only happens when videos are imbedded, and never when it launches WMP out of the browser.
