streaming to my tv

I have a Sony flat panel that I can stream videos stored on my htpc, only thing it plays the wrong audio track, such as the narration track for the blind. anyway can set this up in media player? that's where the TV sees media share.

That makes me wonder if your files aren't set up properly. Are you using MKV as your container? You can set the default track using that, and if it's set to the wrong one, that may be causing your problem.

They ripped DVDs? I always strip out the foreign language tracks when I do mine.

Yeah they are, not looking to re rip them...

Why would you have to do that? Chances are you can just remove the other tracks from the container. I do it with MKVs using MKVToolNix with the MKVMerge GUI.

Not really. The annoying part is that you can't just remove the stream from the MKV, save and be done with it. You have to essentially create a new MKV file, which means you have to spend the time copying the data over. I was doing it a few days ago, and it took me ~30 seconds for a 1.3GB file, and I was pulling it in over the network and saving it to a local drive.
