In another forum there's a discussion of the movie Blue Mountain State: The Rise Of Thadland. I never saw the TV series (it was on the Spike TV network), but I guess it had some fans.

So they crowdfunded a movie based on the TV series. From what I understand, they had some issues getting an R rating and the movie never made it to theaters. I believe it came out Feb 2nd of this year, and it's widely available on Neflix, and pay per view through YouTube, iTunes, Vudu and similar services.

So, some guy in this other forum wants to watch the movie, but wants a DVD or Blu-ray _disc_. Try as I might, I can't find anything like it for sale. Is that really the state of things? They not only skip theatrical release, but now they don't even bother pressing any physical discs??

Why spend money on something nobody wants to buy? The only workable physical media strategy for these shitty titles is a manufacturing on demand concept

Why would they make physical discs for something with such a small audience that had to be crowdfunded? Tell your forum bud to head over to the local library and watch it on a computer.
