Hello, I would like to record some Streaming Tracks from the internet onto my hard drive.
How should I do this?
Will it sound ok?
What software and equipment do I need?
Any software free?
:D

what type of file? normally you can hold shift down and click on the link, this will save the file, as for quality, it will stay staic, the same as you hear it now, it is the same file, and there is no degradation. If it isn't a song, but rather a continually updated thing, you will need some software to record the file onto your hdd. Search google for that.

I have a similar issue.

I want to record audio/music from my Sky Digital box, I have the right cable to connect it's Co-axial ports to my Line on my SB live value but when recording with say, Nero Wave Editor or Real Jukebox there is a crackling.

Where could this be occuring, Line in, it's it picking up background noise from other components in the PC, my sb live is as far away from everything in the case as possible, although I think there is a network card near it but that it not in use at present.

What the Digital I/O of the Audigy be signifcantly better?

Cheers

analog is always going to be subject to distortion, but you could try to minimize this by keeping the wires away from others, and other magnetic devices to cut down on EMI.

It's RealOne Player.
And when I hold down shift and click the link. It says that the page cannot be displayed.
